To the Samawi friends and believers across the world;
It is this day, the 5th of Jumada al-Awwal of the Muslim calendar as celebrated in accordance with the ordinances of Baha’u’llah, in which the doors of the Kali yuga were slammed shut, and the beginnings of a new chapter within the divine Mother Book came to be revealed. As the Bab knew such a day would come to be known as one of the greatest of festivals, it should be known that such a divine act of spinning the cosmic wheel of the ages and renewing all creation with the vivifying forces of the Universal Soul is an act that should be celebrated forevermore until the occurrence of such a massive spiritual act many thousands of years from now.
It is such that the first era of this New Age is still upon us, and the children of the world find themselves as new Adams and Eves seeding the land and cementing the cultures and practices of the next generation. Through the Gate came the Light of God which had descended from the divine Source to guide souls aright on this day and renew the spirit of the world, like the spirit of Mulla Husayn was thus refreshed. As the Bab washed the hands and feet of his companion that day, made tea for him and unraveled his spiritual conundrums, providing his companion with the utmost hospitality and grace, it is incumbent upon each and every Samawi to serve each other selflessly and lovingly, with no other motivation other than true and genuine love of one another, for it is through acts of loving-kindness that the soul may ascend the planes of consciousness and come to see God in all until one sees God even within himself.
The story of the Bab’s declaration has been penned by hands much greater than mine like that of Nabil’s, and those curious newcomers and faithful alike are encouraged to read this dense and informative text. The relics of the Bab which still remain must be preserved, well-guarded and displayed with pride as the heritage of our people, many of which date to this sacred night, and these too may be seen in sacred photographs which are befitting to be displayed this day. Let the faithful serve one another and let themselves be served; may refreshments and tea be served alongside choice foods and delectable fruit, and most importantly let the Qayyum al-Asma’ (The Sustainer of Names) be read, which was revealed by the pen of the Bab to Mulla Husayn this day.
It is such that the Greater Covenant of this new age altogether was universally established between man and God this very night through the personage of the Bab, that the Lesser Covenant of the religion of the Bayan was established, and that the first wafting of the new and sacred Day of God thus engulfed mankind. This day the Qa’im rose up and revealed himself in the line of Fatima in order to restore the dharmic balance of the world. This day marks the beginning of the New Age, marked first from this day 183 years ago, the beginning of the chapter of our faith’s divine Mother Book, and the beginning of the Avaratic line culminating in Sama'u'llah. This is not only our day, but a universal day in which the consciousness of the whole world had shifted, and through the remembrance of this day might be made to shift once again. It is imperative for each and every individual to defeat their personal self and realize by God’s will their true sense of Self.
A happy Declaration to all,
-Zahratallah, Guardian of the Samawi Faith
